24th January, 2023 - Mrs. Keiko UCHIUMI from Yachiyo Engineering, who oversees the TBC archiving Soft Component for the Nationwide Early Warning System (NEWS) Project was here to complete the implementation of the last archiving soft component for the Tonga Broadcasting Commission (TBC).

 Mrs. Uchiumi presented to MEIDECC, CEO Mr. Paula P. Ma’u  the final report of the Soft Component Output 2 (Strengthening of Evacuation System Utilizing Procured Equipment) of the Nationwide Early Warning System (NEWS) Project.

CEO, Ma’u also signed off the Completion Certificate to certify that the Joint Venture of Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd., Japan Telecommunications Engineering and Consulting Service and Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd. (The Consultant) has duly completed the Service for the assistance in the start-up or operation and maintenance for the project inline with the Agreement between the Ministry of Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change and Communications, Kingdom of Tonga (the Client) and the Consultant.
