Granting Approval for Starlink in Tonga

20^th December 2024 - Granting Approval for Starlink to Provide Internet Services Across the Kingdom of Tonga

Tonga, December 20, 2024 – The Ministry of MEIDECC as the Regulator for Communications, Government of Tonga, has officially granted approval for Starlink to provide high-speed internet services throughout the Kingdom of Tonga. This significant development aims to enhance connectivity and support digital inclusion across the islands.

Starlink have authorized resellers to acquire their services locally through: TokoWireless Ltd (Wantok Tonga), Digicel Tonga Limited, and Tonga Communication Corporation (TCC).

This initiative marks a pivotal step in improving telecommunications infrastructure in Tonga, ensuring that all citizens have access to reliable internet services.
